FBI to Participate in Upcoming Peak 10 Charlotte Engineering Series Event

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (October 9, 2008) ? Peak 10, Inc., the leading

with the FBI Cyber Crimes Division are set to present at Peak 10?s upcoming
Engineering Series event in Charlotte N.C. from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on
Thursday, October 16, 2008 at the Hilton Garden Inn Ayrsley. At the event, Peak
10?s engineering experts will present IT professionals from a variety of
organizations and industries with an opportunity to learn best practices in
online and physical security for their IT infrastructures.
FBI Special Agent, Dave Johnson, will address recent cybercrime activities and
issues including: the current state of critical infrastructures and security
posture from the FBI, specific threats to IT infrastructures. Peak 10
Charlotte?s director of operations and engineering, Brian Vandervort, will then
demonstrate best practices for Web server and database applications,
architecting a secure environment, and regulatory compliance issues.
