Quality of Equinix Los Angeles Center and Access to Networks Enables JibJab
to Scale Operations and Maintain Highest Levels of Uptime and Performance
Foster City, CA ? December 8, 2008 ? Equinix, Inc. (Nasdaq: EQIX), a
provider of global data center services, today announced that JibJab Media Inc.
has moved the operations supporting the company?s online content business to the
Equinix Los Angeles-3 (LA3) International Business Exchange (IBX®) data center
in El Segundo, CA. The move, from its previous deployment with another
colocation provider, will enable JibJab to easily scale operations within a
high-performance environment that offers immediate proximity to a large number
of networks providing access to end-users.
JibJab, best known for its online political parodies, runs a subscription-based
eCard service and, as a result, requires the highest levels of reliability and
uptime for its paying customers. It also requires a data center environment that
gives it the flexibility to quickly scale operations to accommodate the
company?s rapid growth and spikes in business.
