Parallels CEO to Deliver Opening Keynote at HostingCon 2008

RENTON, Wash., July 23, 2008 Parallels, a leader in automation and
virtualization software, announced that it will be attending HostingCon, held in
Chicago next week: July 28 – 30, 2008. In addition to participating in the event
as a platinum sponsor, Parallels CEO Serguei Beloussov will be giving a keynote
address entitled, "The Optimized Hosting Platform - Meeting the Changing Needs
of Hosting Providers."
Over the last few years, the hosting market has matured and as it continues to
grow and present new opportunities, such as the adoption of
Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), Parallels is partnering with hosting providers and
ISVs to facilitate an ecosystem that will better serve customers and increase
service provider revenues. The keynote address will discuss the need to
automate, virtualize, and standardize in order to deliver optimized computing so
service providers can profit from and adapt to changes in the hosting market.
On Tuesday, Parallels will be moderating a panel session entitled, "Taking
Advantage of SaaS with the Application Standard", discussing the Application
Packaging Standard (APS), that has been established to facilitate cooperation
between software application vendors and hosters. Panelists include Dr. Oliver
Mauss, CEO of 1&1, Frederik Schouboe, Director at Cohaesio, Richard Peet, VP of
Interspire and Brian Donaghy, VP Product Strategy at Smart Online.
In the exhibitor hall, Parallels will feature an espresso bar and will be giving
away a Sling Box Pro at booth #401. Kiosks will highlight new Parallels
offerings including the Plesk Control Panel and Plesk Billing bundle, the
Parallels Automation CRM Module, Parallels Server, and Parallels SaaS
certification programs. Parallels Partner offerings will be highlighted by 4PSA,
Open-Xchange, Inc., Interspire and ePages.
