FREMONT, Calif. – June 1, 2009 – SGI® (NASDAQ: SGI) announced today the
immediate availability of servers based on the new Six-Core AMD Opteron™
processors (codenamed "Istanbul"). SGI will offer a wide selection of server
models that will use the new Six-Core AMD Opteron processors to help increase
energy efficiency, and ensure superior value and optimal performance for
demanding, real-world server and workstation application workloads.
