The Planet Announces Promotions for Hosting Resellers

Bulk Discounts, Unmetered Servers Help Resellers Maximize Revenues
HOUSTON, Feb. 23, 2009 – The Planet, the global leader in IT hosting,
today announced a promotion to help resellers increase hosting revenues.
Beginning today and through March 31, customers who purchase five or more select
servers will receive per-server discounts up to 68 percent. Resellers can use
these bulk servers to provide an upgrade path for their larger customers who
require a dedicated platform. The additional servers can also accommodate an
expanded infrastructure for resellers looking to provide shared or value-added
offerings, including applications and custom services.
“In the competitive hosting landscape, resellers are tasked with offering their
customers a wide range of options, coupled with the best value for their

“With this bulk-discount offering, resellers can move their customers to a
dedicated environment cost effectively.”
Resellers can take advantage of discounts on purchases of five or more of the
Celeron 2.0+, the Pentium 4 2.4+, the Dual Xeon 2.4, the Dual Xeon 2.8, the Dual
Xeon 3.2 and the Xeon 5130:
- With five to nine servers, pricing ranges from $69 to $119 per month per
server.
- With purchases of 10 to 19 servers, prices are further reduced from $59 to
$109 per month per server.
- With purchases of 20 or more servers, prices drop to a low of $49 to $99 per
month per server.
Resellers can further enhance customer savings by taking advantage of The
Planet’s recently announced unmetered servers promotion. For a limited time, the
company is bundling its popular unmetered bandwidth packages – regularly priced
at $200 for 10Mbps or $1,800 for 100Mbps of bandwidth per month – for no cost on
low-priced servers. For example, the Dual Xeon 3.2, regularly priced at $299 per
month, is now available for $144, which includes 10Mbps of unmetered bandwidth.
The same server is priced at $544 with 100Mbps of unmetered bandwidth – a
combination normally priced at $2,099.
