Also expanding end enhancing traditional business practices by means of the
Internet.
E-Commerce
Electronic Commerce. Refers to the general exchange of goods and services via
the Internet.
E-Commerce Hosting
An e-commerce hosting plan option that allows a merchant to accept orders
online.
E-mail (Electronic Mail)
A communication system that allows you to send text, files and/or graphical
messages over the Internet.
Email Address
An email address is the INTERNET version of a postal address. Just as mail is
sent directly to you from your friends, the water company, etc., an email
address allows you to receive information electronically.
E-mail Aliases
Aliases are additional, disposable incoming e-mailbox addresses that you can
create for special or short-term uses, such as info@janesbagels.com, or sales@janesbagels.com.
You may want to use an alias when you don't wish to share your primary e-mail
address. All messages sent to an alias will be delivered to your primary
e-mailbox. All messages sent from an alias will use the primary e-mailbox
address in the 'From' address of your message.
E-mail Autoresponders/Lists
An autoresponder will send a standard response e-mail message (based on a text
file you specify) to anyone who sends an e-mail to a specific e-mail address
(which you specify) at your domain.
E-mail Forwarding
Automatically sends email messages from one email address to another email
address.
E-mail Hosting
Web hosting plan that allows users to send and store email, may or may not come
with hosting for a website.
E-Mail POP Account
An actual e-mail account on your web host's e-mail server. POP stands for Post
Office Protocol.
E-mail Spam
Unwanted, unsolicited email. Email spam usually pertains to unsolicited
commercial messages sent in bulk by people you don't know.
EasyBlogBuilder
A blog (also referred to as a web log) can be used in a variety of ways;
however, it is largely used as a medium for posting stories or journal entries
online. People who read blog entries can also make comments on the posts a user
or (other users you set up) have made.
EasyLiveChat
The EasyLiveChat application allows you to set up online chatting to handle
services such as technical support and general inquiries. Up to four chat agents
can be set up; each agent may handle up to four chat sessions simultaneously.
EasyMail
EasyMail allows you to manage your domain's email accounts.
EasyMail Autoresponder
The Autoresponder function allows you to automatically reply with a pre-written
message to all or certain email sent to an email address. For example you could
set up an autoresponder when you are out of office for a few days or alert those
emailing you that you are away.
EasyMail Catch All
This function allows you to redirect improperly addressed email sent to your
domain to a catch-all email address. An improperly addressed email is defined as
an email message sent to your domain to an undefined email account.
EasyMail Setup
EasyMail setup is a full featured accessory that allows a novice user to easily
configure various email account features. These accounts can be accessed by
traditional mail-reading clients as well as over the web with Webmail.
EasyMail Spam Filtering
The spam filtering function of EasyMail allows you to prevent unsolicited email
(spam) from reaching your mailbox. By enabling spam filtering for an account,
every email which enters your inbox is evaluated and assigned a point value by
an automated filter, based on the message headers and each email's content. If
the point total is over a certain value, then the email is categorized as spam.
The subject, message formatting, and message headers are all examined for
"spam-like" features.

The EasySiteWizard is a robust tool that allows you to quickly create a
professional looking website with no knowledge of HTML. Your website can have up
to nine pages and can be customized to meet your needs.
EasyStoreMaker
EasyStoreMaker provides end users the opportunity to set up a simple store on
their websites, quickly and easily through an ultra-simple, user friendly
interface. The end user does not need any programming or e-commerce development
experience to create a store.
Orders placed through EasyStoreMaker can be viewed securely online, giving users
the ability to view the information needed to keep things organized (e.g. name,
shipping address, products ordered, total price and credit card number). End
users can enter product descriptions, set their own prices and tax calculations,
and can select the currency their store will use.

EasyStoreMaker Pro provides end users the opportunity to set up a full-featured
store on their websites in a wizard style interface. The end user does not need
any programming or e-commerce development experience to create a store.

credit-card processing, a variety of different payment gateways, and offers a
secure page to view all online orders.
Email Storage
Email storage indicates the amount of storage available for email messages and
attachments.
Encryption
A very common method of networking computers in a LAN . Ethernet will handle
about 10,000,000 bits-per-second and can be used with almost any kind of

Ethernet
A local-area network (LAN) protocol developed by Xerox Corporation in
cooperation with DEC and Intel in 1976. Ethernet uses a bus or star topology and
supports data transfer rates of 10 Mbps. It is one of the most widely
implemented LAN standards. A newer version of Ethernet, called 100Base-T (or
Fast Ethernet), supports data transfer rates of 100 Mbps. And the newest
version, Gigabit Ethernet supports data rates of 1 gigabit (1,000 megabits) per
second.
Extranet
A part of the company's network that is made accessible for some group of
people. Sometimes protected by a password or some other kind of authentication.
It allows users to access some of the non-public data, e.g.. a person's credit
card balance.
